Landslides travel at different speeds depending on a number of factors such as material, water content, and slope.  Rockfalls, since they are under the influence of gravity and have very little friction travel the fastest.  However, by their very nature, they are not the farthest traveled landslides.  Debris slides and complex slides usually take that honor.
