Activities
|
- Questions: Discuss superheroes vs. heroes. List
characteristics of heroes.
- Language arts: Assign each child a letter and make up new
superheroes for a class book. Use speech bubbles. Read appropriate
comic books or graphic novels.
- Writing: Write alliterative sentences to describe yourself or a
hero
- Math: Make up math problems related to super powers such as
lifting, flying, jumping, etc.
- Science: What kinds of super human talents do super heroes have? (Seeing through walls, etc)
- Social Studies: Compare tall tale heroes to modern day heroes.
Make a Venn diagram on paper or computer.
- Drama: Have each child read a page in a "dramatic"
superhero voice.
- Art: Illustrate superhero pages cartoon style and use speech
bubbles.
- Music: Play themes from Spiderman, Superman, Batman, Fantastic
Four. How does the music make you feel?
- Museum: Allow each child to bring in one action figure for a
mini-museum.
