Book Activities
  • Questions: Have a class discussion about the first day of school jitters: Who was nervous?
    Who was excited? Who though their teacher would be an alien?
  • Art: Make a drawing of the Mrs. Watson as an alien.
  • Research: Ask five people (friends and family) what their first day of first grade was like and record what you find out.
  • Writing:  Write about the first time you lost a tooth
  • Retell: a part of the story from the point of view of Mrs. Watson
