Book Activities

    • Discussion questions:  Is your life boring or plain? How could you make it fancy? What does Nancy learn about being fancy?
    • Language arts: Use a thesaurus to find fancy words. Make a word wall of fancy words.
    • Writing: Write about the time you were the most fancy.
    • Math: Graph favorite ice cream treats.
    • Science: Make a list of fancy animals. Why is each fancy?
    • Social Studies: Discuss fancy manners and practice them in the lunch room and classroom.
    • Drama:
    • Cooking/Food: Have an ice dream sundae party with fancy toppings.
    • Art: Draw your favorite fancy ice cream.
    • Music:
    • Movement: Learn some fancy dance moves: line dancing, Hokey Pokey, Chicken Dance, etc.
