I am a graphic designer in Charleston, Illinois who works for Eastern Illinois University. I work on recruiting, alumni, development and marketing and every other little thing design-wise that could be worked on at a University. We have an awesome team there and I consider myself very lucky to have a design job in central Illinois. We recently redesigned the EIU web site, which I am particularly proud of, if I do say so myself. Currently I am also teaching a class at Eastern - publicity methods.
I am married to Brent (since 2001) and have two gorgeous kids, Ethan (6), and Norah (4). Chances are, they are trying to climb on my head or throw things on me right now. "But it's 3 a.m. there!" you may be saying. Doesn't matter ... trust me. There are approximately 13 million photos of them on my flickr page. Feel free to check them out.
I also like to take photographs and have recently started taking casual family portraits that I then assemble into books, calendars, DVD slideshows, etc. Grandparents love 'em. Get ahold of me if you would like to talk photography work.
Currently I am looking to take on more remote freelance work. I really enjoy spreading the joy of good design and like working outside my current environment, for a change of pace at the very least. Since I have worked on such a wide variety of projects, I feel confident that I can offer some good solutions to most design problems. Logos, pens, t-shirts, annual reports ... you name it, I can at least think about it critically.
