The Transit of Venus

June 8, 2004

Amateur astronomers and sky watchers of all ages met at dawn on Tuesday, June 8, 2004 to witness an event that has never been seen by anyone in our lifetime - the passing of the planet Venus across the face of the sun. The viewing event was held at the east end of the Charleston Wal-Mart parking lot and was attended by approximately twenty people.
