The link on this announcement will direct you to the project description and assignment.

This project is due Monday, November 26th at 9:55 a.m. (the same due date/time as Project 4). It is worth 50 extra points and is completely optional. Just do it if you want the challenge and the extra points. It will not negatively impact your grade in any way if you choose not to do this assignment.

Finally, you will note that this is the only link to the assignment. There is not a link from the regular web page. The assignment is available to those reading the RSS feed.

IT Professional Day

Don't forget that tomorrow is IT Professional Day, sponsored by AITP. You are invited to participate in a picnic with IT recruiters at the Pavilion Pond from 4:30-5:45 and also a panel discussion on "The Globalization of Information Technology Services" from 7-8 pm in Roberson Auditorium.

Extra Credit Opportunity

Here is an opportunity for extra credit (completely optional): Revise your first project so that it runs with a form instead of displaying results on the command line. The form should allow the input of the change and then have a text box to display the results. You can key off the enter key in the input box or add a button for the calc.

The deadline for this extra credit, should you choose to do it, is 11:59 pm on Friday, September 28th.

To submit the program, send me your revised source file (the java file) as an attachment in WebCT email. Submissions posted after the deadline will not be considered. This extra credit is worth 25 points.
You need to bring all documentation to class, stapled together and ready to turn in. Code should be submitted to the web page as instructed in the Project 1 specs. Projects submitted electronically and timestampted after 9:55 a.m. on Monday will NOT be considered.

Exam 1 Results

Exam 1 results are now posted. In grading each exam I grade the exams and obtain raw scores, then get an average of those raw scores. If the average of the raw scores is less than 75%, then I adjust all scores up so that the mean of all adjusted scores is 75%. That means that if an individual does well on an exam that is adjusted up, he/she may get more than 100% on the exam. Scores will never be adjusted down, i.e. if the class raw score mean is 75% or greater, no adjustments will be made.

Welcome

Welcome to my feed!
