- Discussion questions: What is your favorite
thing to do for outdoor recess in the winter? How cold is TOO cold
to go out at your school?
- Reading/oral language: Have sharing time after recess and
tell what happened.
- Writing: Write a tall tale about your best or worst recess experience.
- Math: Create addition and subtraction problems about temperature.
- Science: Why is in cold in Alaska and warm in Africa? Which place
would you rather live and why?
- Social Studies: Find Alaska on a map or globe and find where you
live.
- Cooking/Snack: make snow cones and eat ice cream.
- Art/Drama: drawing and coloring snow flakes and snow men
- Music/Movement: Make a list of recess games and songs. Play them
at recess.
- Technology integration: Visit snowcrystals.com and
weatherwizkids.com to learn about snow and weather.
