Book Activities
|
- Discussion questions: Where do squirrels live? What do squirrels eat? What do you worry about? What scares you?
- Reading: Read the other books about Scaredy Squirrel.
- Writing: Pretend you are Scaredy Squirrel. Write a journal of a typical day in
his life.
- Math: Make up math problems about time.
- Science: Learn more about squirrels or flying squirrels. (below)
- Art/Drama: Have the children try to draw Scaredy and some of the things he is scared of
- Music/Movement: Make up a song to go with Scaredy's adventure and have the
children act it out.
- Science: Learn about poisonous spiders or poison ivy. Study flying squirrels

Cooking/snacks: Try different kinds of nuts.
What kind of nut tree do you think scaredy Squirrel lived in?
- Technology: Type up your "Schedule" using tabs or a table.
- NOTE: Scaredy Squirrel will become the star of a TV series! There are
