Jan 11, 05 - i made it here with just a slight glitch in paris, france at the airport.  i have been enjoying it so far.  enjoy eiu being a small campus.  i have to walk far from my house to class.  and the lady i am living with wants me to come back at lunch time...¿loca?  owell, i am going to buy a computer keyboard while i am over here.  they are different and kinda neat.  there is actually a button with the ñ y ¿ and a Çç and some other things i am trying to figure out.  but overall spain is beatiful and awesome!

Jan 31, 05 - wow, hard to believe i have been here for three weeks already!!!  classes are going great and spain is soo much fun!  the only thing is that too many people speak english here so i slip every once and a while.

i have been taking picts and have put them on a yahoo website, i will try to update it once a week so favorite it!  my high school teachers recomended i get stuff to do units with and i have a ton of stuff for a transportation unit.

Feb 4, 05 - I asked Joe some questions:
What is the most exciting simple thing you have done? What is the one word in Spanish that is the most difficult for you to use or understand? How do you travel, other than by foot? Are you getting ready to make any sightseeing trips? Have you eaten at any restaurants are the better, worse, different?

His responses:
well, the water heaters here are different, it is heated and used directly, it doesn´t sit in a tank, instant heated water!!!
i have the hardest time saying Euro (thefirst E is the killer, it is so funny to watch people when i say it, they just know---tourist!
the best way to travel here is by bus or by train, the university takes care of most of the transportation stuff, next weekend i am going to El escorial and Avila, been to toledo (beatiful city) and been to Segovia, i will be in barcelona for an entire week in March!  depends on the resturant, the panaderias here are great!  i treat myself once aweek:)
the funnest thing i have done is to be in the plaza mayor at night, there is just so much to do and it just looks awesome!

Feb 5, 05 - so i have to change my funnest thing i have done since i have been here.  today we went up in the torre of the cathedral.  let me tell you, what a sight to see!!!  walking up a 250 year old cathedral is relly exciting!
