12,000 students, they employ around 1,900 other people.

Technologies
Technology has impacted
Eastern very significantly. All areas of the university use
computers. The Internet has definitely had a positive impact on
Eastern's business and service.
Vision for 2020
Eastern Illinois
University has many foundational goals for the future. Those goals
include: improving the quality of education in both undergraduate and
graduate programs; attracting and retaining a diverse and highly
qualified faculty and staff; improving university service and
outreach; attracting and retaining a diverse and highly qualified
student body and increasing university resources.
