Today is a very busy day for me. I have been assigned to sample krill and help penguins for the morning. I got up at six, ate breakfast, and started to put on my bundle of clothes. I started with a pair of long underwear and a T-shirt. Then I just kept piling on more clothes. It was a sunny day so we had to wear sunblock and glasses. We finally started our journey for krill. This was actually my first time for sampling krill. We took the nets and set them out all over the place. We then used a pulley and dragged the krill out. We also put the krill into large containers. There were dozens of little krill. I was excited when the krill ate bits of food. We watched the krill to see how temperature and the amount of light affected them. Well, we were finished with the krill. Now I was off to see the penguins. My friend Maria came and helped us tag the penguins. I got to measure the beak. The penguins were adorable. Maria then had to put a transmitter on. This is the end of my day.
