Exams, homework, and quizzes

There will be two Midterms and a comprehensive Final (May 11, 5 to 8PM).  Also homework will be assigned every week; however, no homework will be graded.  The students are encouraged to work out all the homework exercises as this is the only way to do well in the class.  There will be quizzes (every other week) which will test the students on the assigned homework.

Grading

   20 % determined by quizzes;
   25 % determined by each Midterm; and
   30 % determined by the final exam.

Usually it takes 90 for A, 80 for B, 70 for C, and so on.  This grading scheme is tentative and changes may be made.  All changes will be announced well in advance of the final exam.
