Currently, the study of psychology from a Darwinian perspective is dominated
by one approach (which we call ‘Narrow Evolutionary Psychology'). We
contend that a variety of approaches can be
fruitfully used to apply evolutionary science to the study of psychology.
Our goal is to publicize a host of different methodologies for studying
human psychology from an evolutionary perspective – some of which are
incompatible with each other. Our purpose is not to endorse any of them;
rather, we wish to make them more widely known, in order to enhance the
scholarly debate surrounding evolutionary psychology.
